About the role:
We are looking for a capable accountant, with strong attention to detail, and good financial accounting preparation skills. Your focus will be on the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements and ensuring the integrity and timeliness of external reporting.

You will be involved in completing balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting and tax compliance work. You may also assist with cashflow management and respond to Select Committee, Parliamentary Questions and Treasury queries.  
 
To be successful:

  • You will be CA qualified, demonstrate sound technical knowledge and past financial accounting experience.
  • Along with strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines, you will also bring good analytical skills and the ability to problem solve.
  • We are looking for candidates who demonstrate energy and drive, are customer and delivery focussed, and who are passionate about continuous improvement.

To be eligible for employment you will need to have been a NZ citizen for at least 10-years, with a 15-year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken.
